The Trek can be done many way, this is how we did it. I should note I was the trailing spouse on this trip and all the credit for research, enthusiasm and booking goes to not me.

Day 1
Ferry ride with spectacular views.
Afew dot points
- most people have pre booked tickets for allocated time slots
- they did run extra ferries for the over flow
- people with later tickets were allowed on
- the ferry has wifi that can be used to buy tickets on the spot with credit card payments.

Walk up to Camping Grey, we timed it well to cross the higher altitude section in 50 to 60 km/hr winds.
Day 2
this was retracing our steps with the wind behind us and more time to enjoy the views
Day 3
Day 4
although it looks like an easy walk around a lake on the map this is still a decent we had a very hot day.

Day 5
From the camp this is a there and back day trip. So if like me you have sore any thing you can do as much or as little as you want.

I only walked up to the refugio, Suzi walked all the way up.
good st stretch the legs but many many people I left a 930am and met Suzi half way up.
